Sugar Rush is a wedding and specialty cake design studio in the Newcastle/ Hunter Valley region of NSW.

Principal decorator Vanessa Anderson, has been working in the cake industry for many years, both in the US, and Australia. Her love of design and art began at a young age, and she attended many art classes during her childhood and teenage years. She also inherited a love for baking from her Grandmother. From there, it was only a matter of time before the two were joined, and so began a love affair with the baking arts!

All cakes are baked fresh, with only the finest of ingredients. We are well-known for our great tasting cakes, and unusual flavours. We also do many dessert wedding cakes and dessert tables, as venues will offer you a cheaper menu option, and the savings from that more than cover the added cake costs. So if you combine your original cake budget, with the money saved at the venue, you can have an incredible dessert buffet that is sure to impress all your guests, and also give maximum variety on the day. Plus the larger cake display really does help create a beautiful focal point in your reception room.
